Future Science Prize Committee announced the winners of 2018 in Beijing on September 8. Dawei Ma, Xiaoming Feng, Qilin Zhou won the Future Science Prize in physical sciences. In September, Xu was awarded the 2017 Future Science Prize, which aims at reward- ing scientists that have made outstanding contributions to science and technology in China. He was the very first mathematician to win the prize, and also the youngest among this year’s laureates.

Prof. Dennis Yuk-ming LO from the Faculty of Medicine at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) received today the Future Science Prize – Life Science Prize for his seminal contribution to the widely-used noninvasive prenatal test based on the original discovery of fetal DNA in maternal blood which has benefited millions of pregnant women globally.
