Lei Zhang is the Founder of Hillhouse Investment, a leading platform that partners with visionary entrepreneurs to build businesses and position them for long-term success. Mr. Zhang earned his B.A. in Economics from Renmin University of China, as well as an M.B.A. and M.A. from Yale University.
In addition to investing, Mr. Zhang has devoted significant efforts to supporting scientific research and education. Mr. Zhang currently serves both as a donor to the Future Science Prize and as a board member of the Future Forum. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees at Tongji University and chairs the Asia Development Council at Yale University.
He donated to Renmin University of China to establish the Gaoling School of Artificial Intelligence, contributed as a Founding Donor to Westlake University in 2017, and served as a Founding Trustee and Chairman of the Development Council of Westlake University in 2018.
